really great spot! I’m a tough critic of Vietnamese food as a viet girl myself, but this was a really solid spot! Highly recommend the caramelized pork & egg, also called thit kho! The cafe special with egg cream was also a banger! The staff was so nice, the prices are great, and overall a super lovely meal.

Amazing Vietnamese place in such a nice area. We randomly walked across and decided to give it a go - so happy we did! We tried the papaya shrimp salad (SO good) and the summer rolls as a starter and two veggie dishes as mains. The service was super nice and attentive. We had an amazing dinner and would definitely come back!

I have dined here at least 5x during my trips to Paris from New York. The food is consistently and reliably very good, the staff are friendly and are happy to speak English where needed. The place itself is nice and comfortable also. I have tried and shared a handful of things (the food works well for sharing if you are dining with others) - the shrimp fresh spring rolls, the shrimp rice, stir fried noodles with tofu and veggies and the vegetarian bo bun are all really good (I don’t eat meat). Definitely recommend giving this restaurant a try if you’re in Paris wanting to try Vietnamese food!

Nestled in the charming heart of Paris's 6th arrondissement, Le Saigon d'Antan serves as a vibrant gateway to authentic Vietnamese cuisine. This cozy spot on Rue Monsieur le Prince brings the rich flavors of Vietnam to life through a well-curated menu that honors tradition with a modern touch. The atmosphere buzzes gently with energy, a perfect reflection of the passionate culinary craft behind every dish.

The standout here is the thit kho, a caramelized pork and egg dish that balances deep, savory sweetness with tender textures, a favorite praised repeatedly by native palates and newcomers alike. Equally noteworthy is their café spécial topped with egg cream — a luscious, bold twist on Vietnamese coffee that leaves a memorable impression.

Freshness shines in their papaya shrimp salad, offering a harmonious blend of crisp herbs and delicate shrimp, which strikes a perfect balance—never too sour or salty. The pho, revered by many patrons, features a broth that is light yet rich, with thick-cut beef slices and a generous portion of rice noodles that offer comforting complexity in every spoonful. Vegetarians find their share of delights too, with dishes like the tofu stir-fried noodles and vegetarian bò bún bringing vibrant flavor without compromise.

Beyond the food, the staff’s warmth and multilingual hospitality create an inviting environment that feels both genuine and attentive. While the intimate space fills quickly during peak hours, it adds to the charm, making each visit feel like a shared secret among friends. Despite Parisian summer heat filtering in, the quality of the cuisine and service more than compensates, making Le Saigon d'Antan a must-visit for anyone craving a true taste of Vietnam in the City of Lights.
